(He/Him)
I am currently in the application process with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, and am taking clients on my waitlist at this time.
Originally from Yarmouth County, I moved to the Annapolis Valley to pursue my post-graduate education and have since built my practice around supporting individuals through life's most challenging transitions.
I work with individuals experiencing grief and bereavement, chronic illness, caregiver stress, and the emotional impact of life-limiting or terminal diagnoses. Whether you are navigating your own diagnosis or supporting someone you love, I strive to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
My passion for this work comes from a combination of personal, professional, and academic experience. Having cared for family members living with chronic illness and experienced the loss of my father to a chronic illness, I understand that grief and change are rarely straightforward. I believe healing begins by creating space to express thoughts and emotions openly and without judgment.
I also have a special interest in supporting caregivers. While caregiving can be deeply meaningful, it can also be exhausting, isolating, and overwhelming. Together, we can explore ways to cope with these challenges, navigate uncertainty, and help you maintain a sense of yourself while caring for someone else.
My counselling approach is values-based and client-centred. I believe that each person's values shape how they navigate life's challenges, and I work collaboratively with clients to ensure therapy reflects what matters most to them. I also welcome conversations about meaning, purpose, and existential questions when these become part of a client's journey.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm an avid hockey and football fan, enjoy cooking and baking, and love ending the day with a freshly baked cookie and a good movie.
